Abstract
Objective To evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of 0.03% Tacrolimus ointment in the treatment of rosacea. Methods Eighty-nine patients were divided into 2 groups randomly.Forty-five patients in the treatment group were treated with mulvital B and 0.03% Tacrolimus ointment. The other 44 patients in the control group were treated with mulvital B and 5% sulfur cream. After continues treatment for 6 weeks,we analyzed and compared the treatment effects of the two groups. Results The effective rate of the treatment group was 26.67%,64.44% and 86.67% respectively in 2,4,6 weeks after treatment. The effective rate in control group was significantly different than that in treatment group(P 0.05 or P 0.01).The score of erythema in treatment group significantly decreased in 2 weeks after treatment(P0.05).The score of papules and pustules significantly decreased in 4,6 weeks after treatment(P 0.05).Nineteen cases(42.22%) had burning sensation and mild itching 1~6 days after treatment. Conclusion Tacrolimus ointment is effective and safe in the treatment of rosacea.
