On Mencius' Benevolent Rule Ideology

Abstract
Mencius is an influential thinker in Chinese history who advocated benevolent rule and established a whole ideological system of government by virtue based on the theory of human nature. He believed that the key to benevolent rule was that the ruler should deepen his mastery of morality,and that the core was to gain strong backing and support from masses. Mencius' theology is still of great significance to the reality.
