Abstract
The formation, location and type of slab defects were analyzed for 1930 slab caster at Baosteel. The effect of nozzle arrangement in No.6 and No.7 segments on slab cooling and quality was studied by nozzle parameter measurement and numerical simulation. For prevention of transverse corner crack and the triangle zone crack, a revamping project is put forward.
