Abstract

In Words to Chinese Artists,standing on the converging point of Chinese and Western culture,Lin Tong-ji reflects Chinese literature based on some modern western doctrines and puts forward the aesthetic views:terror,revel and religiosity. This article severely criticizes some disadvantages such as feminine and asceticism in traditional Chinese culture and highly praises the idea of being harmonious with nature in Confucianism and Taoism. On the basis of holding the national essence,it tries to construct a more modern and national cultural system and aesthetic view. Therefore,it represents unique historical value and academic significance.
