Abstract
105 Duroc × Landrace × Large hybrid weaned pigs with average weight of( 7. 2 ± 0. 9) kg were selected into 7 random groups. The experiment was conducted for 3 replicates for each group with 5 pigs. Pigs in group 1 were fed with basal diet; those in group 2 to 4 were fed with compound Chinese herbal decoction; and those in group 5 to 7 were fed with Chinese herbal compound powder. The added herbal amount of two formulations was0. 05%,0. 1% and 0. 2%,respectively. The trial period was 21 days, divided into early stage( 1- 7 d),medium stage( 8- 14 d) and later stage( 9- 21 d). The results showed that Chinese herbal compound decoction and powder significantly improved the ADG,ADFI,F /G,diarrhea rates of weaned pigs in all stages. The Chinese herbal powder was superior to the decoction. The diet added with 0. 05% compound herbal powder was the best.
