Abstract
This experiment was conducted to study the effect of Chinese herbal formula supplementation on protein synthesis and anti-stress ability of early weaned piglets.126 crossbred piglets(Landrace×Yorkshire)weaned at(28±2)days of age were randomly assigned into 7groups with 3replicates per group and 6piglets per replicate.Piglets in group 1was control group which fed a basal diet, piglets in groups 2,3,4were fed diets supplemented with 0.05%,0.10%,0.15% water decoctum of Chinese herbal foumula, respectively, piglets in groups 5,6,7were fed diets supplemented with 0.05%,0.10%,0.15%powders of Chinese herbal foumula, respectively. The experiment lasted for 21 days. The results showed that compared with the control group,Chinese herbal compound additives had significantly increased the activities of serum AKP,GOT,GPT and the contents of serum TP,ALB of early weaned piglets(P0.05),but had significantly decreased the content of serum BUN of early weaned piglets(P0.05).Chinese herbal compound additives had significantly decreased the activity of serum CK and the content of serum GLU of early weaned piglets(P0.05).In conclusion, under this experiment conditions,Chinese herbal compound additives could promote the protein synthesis of early weaned piglets, reduce the anti-stress of weaned piglets, and powder was better than the water decoctum of Chinese herbal compound additives form, the appropriate supplemental level was 0.15%.
