Abstract

Objective To study the chemical constituents of Callicarpa nudiflora Hook.et Arn.Methods The compounds were isolated and purified by normal phase and reversed phase silica gel,Sephadex LH-20,Toyopearl HW-40 chromatography,and recrystallization.Their structures were identified on the basis of spectral data and physiochemical properties showed by nuclear magnetic resonance.Results Twelve compounds,including six flavonoids and two iridoid glycosides,were isolated and elucidated as oleanolic acid(1),ursolic acid(2),5,4′-dihydroxy-3,7,3′-trimethoxy flavone(3),luteolin(4),apigenin(5),8-acetyl harpagide(6),6-O-vanilloyl-ajugol(7),luteolin-7-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(8),apigeni-7-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(9),luteolin-4′-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(10),acteoside(11) and forsythosides B(12).Conclusion Compounds 6 and 7 have been isolated from genus Callicarpa for the first time.
