Abstract
Objective To study the curative effect of internal fixation using improved tension band and steel wire in patellar fracture. Methods With 2 Kirschner pin to fix fracture patella after anatomic reduction, the adding 2 pieces of steel wires to fasten Kirschner pin steadily. Postoperatively rehabilitation was applied earlier and all cases were followed up for 6~12 months. Results All the fractures were approached anatomic reduction and skeletal cure in 8 weeks. the fine and good rate of knee function was 92%. Conclusion The internal fixation using improved tension band and steel wire could treat patellar fracture reliably and clinical curative effect were excellent.
