Treatment of 56 cases of post-adolescent acne by "Yangyin Qingfei Decoction"

Abstract

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of Yangyin Qingfei Decoction in the treatment of post-adolescent acne.Methods One hundred and nine cases of post-adolescent acne were randomized into two groups: treatment group in which 56 cases were treated with Yangyin Qingfei Decoction and Cuochuang Lotion,and contro1 group in which 53 cases were treated with Tanshinone Capsule and Cuochuang Lotion,with a course of 8 weeks.Results The marked effective rate was 82.14% in the treatment group and 69.18% in the control group;with a significant difference between them(P0.05).In the treatment group the cure rate and the total effective rate for moderate post-adolescent acne were 75.00% and 90.00% respectively,higher than 56.41% and 74.36% in the control group,with striking differences between the two groups(P0.05).Conclusion Yangyin Qingfei Decoction is quite effective for post-adolescent acne.
