Abstract
Objective: To observe the clinical effect of Qingfei Quzhi Decoction in treating acne vulgaris and set up a quality control standard. Methods: 101 subjects were randomized into two groups: treatment group in which 52 cases were treated with Qingfei Quzhi Decoction and control group in which 49 cases were treated with Isotretinoin A, with a course of 6 weeks. Clinical effects, skin lesion, sebumexcretionrate and adverse reactions were observed. Results: The total effective rate was 92.31% in treatment group and 91.84% in control group, P 0.01; the skin lesion and seborrhea secretion reduced in both groups after treatment (P 0.01); the average medical cost was 205 yuan in treatment group and 316.8 yuan in control group. Conclusion: Qingfei Quzhi Decoction can improve acne and reduce seborrhea secretion, with fewer side reactions and lower cost.
