Clinical study on treatment of fatty liver by Jianpi Bushen herb

Abstract
Objetive:To investigate the efficacy and safety of Jianpi Bushen herb in the treatment of nonalcoholic fatty liver diseases(NAFLD).Methods:One hundred patients with fatty liver were randomly divided into two groups.The 50 patients in the treated group received Jianpi Bushen Chinese medicine and the 50 patients in the control group received silymarin,reduced glutathione and vitamin E for 8 weeks and the efficacy and safety of Jianpi Bushen Chinese medicine were examined.Results:The total effective rate in the treated group were 87.23%,which was higher than that in the control group(71.11%),showing significant difference statistically.Satisfactory effect was obtained in improvement of clinical symptom,recovery of liver function,step down blood lipids and iconographic parameters,no adverse reaction occurred.Conclusion:Jianpi Bushen herb could be used as a safe and effective drug in the treatment of nonalcoholic fatty liver diseases.
