Abstract

Objective To investigate the relationship and clinical significance of Bag-1 and Caspase-3 expression in colorectal carcinoma tissues and normal colorectal tissues. Methods SP immunohistochemical staining was used to observe the expression of Bag-1 and Caspase-3 protein in 15 normal colonrectal mucosa and 66 colonrectal carcinoma specimens. Results Expressions of Bag-1 in normal colorectal mucosa tissues and colorectal cancers were 13.3%、74.2% respectively.Expressions of Caspase-3 in normal colorectal mucosa tissues and colorectal cancers were 46.7%、68.2% respectively. In colorectal carcinoma,Bag-1 expression was related to differentiation degree, lymph node metastasis and Duke's stage(P0.05).Caspase-3 expression was not related to differentiation degree, lymph node metastasis, and Duke's stage(P0.05).The expression of Bag-1 in colorectal carcinoma had obvious correlation with Caspase-3 expression(P0.05).Conclusions Bag-1 and Caspase-3 may play an important role in development of conlonrectal carcinoma and Bag-1 can be used as new indicators for judging biological behaviour of colontectal carcinoma.
