Abstract
Objective To study the relationship and characteristics between self-worth and coping style of undergraduates. Method Using The Scale of Self-worth for young people and The Coping Style Scale, we investigated 231 undergraduates. Results (1)There are significantly positive correlation between all aspects of self-worth and solving problem or seeking supporting of coping styles; there are significantly negative correlation between all aspects of self-worth and self-accusation, fantasy, retreat and rationalization of coping styles; (2)There are significant differences between high self-worth students and low self-worth students for coping styles; (3)Self-worth has significant predictability on coping styles except TS.Conclusion Undergraduates’ self-worth has significant correlation with all aspects of coping styles.
