Abstract
Objective:To study the prevention and treatment of cerebral infarction in rats using acankoreoside A,and the effect of acankoreoside A on cerebral infarction volume in focal cerebral ischemia rat model.Methods:For the research of the prevention and treatment of focal cerebral infarction,the models of the focal cerebral infarction of the rats were made by putting the special thread to the internal carotid artery.The water content in the rats'brain was detected,and the brain morphological changes were observed.For the study of the effect of acankoreoside A on cerebral infarction volume in focal cerebral ischemia rat model,the models of the focal cerebral infarction rats of the treated group and normal group were made according to Zea-Longa modeling filament method.The treated group rats were administrated with acankoreoside A and the normal group rats with normal saline.The cerebral infarction volumes were determined by Swanson method and the brain morphological changes were observed.Results:The results show that that the water content in the focal cerebral infarction rats' brain is significantly reduced,brain morphology is obviously improved though optical microscope observation,and cerebral ischemia infarct volume of focal cerebral ischemia rats is distinctly lower after treated with acankoreoside A.Conclusion:Acankoreoside A has significantly protective effect on cerebral infarction in rats.
