Abstract

Objective:To investigate the level and prognostic value of serum uric acid (UA), troponin I (cTnI) and high sensitive CRP (hs-CRP) in patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS).Method:A total of 592 patients with ACS was enrolled in this study. Blood samples were collected within 24 hours after admission for the determination of serum UA, cTnI and hs-CRP. The post discharge cardiovascular events were recorded by which the patients were divided into cardiovascular events group and non-cardiovascular events group.Result:Serum UA, cTnI, and hs-CRP levels were significantly different between two groups. After adjusting the related factors including age, vocation, smoking history, BMI, hypertension, diabetes in logistic regression, serum UA, cTnI and hs-CRP levels had independent predictive values for post-discharge cardiovascular events. Conclusion:The levels of serum UA, cTnI and hs-CRP, as prognostic factors, are closely associated with post-discharge cardiovascular events in patients with ACS.
