Abstract
Objective To investigate the status of intestinal parasitic infection and its epidemiological characteristic. Methods 506 fecal samples were collected and the intestinal parasites were detected using Kato - Katz thick smear method. Results 5 species of intestinal parasites were found. The infection rate of Clonorchis sinensis , roundworm, hookworm , Trichuris trichiura, Lin-naeu, and spinworm was 1.19% , 0.99% , 0.59% , 0.20% and 0.20% rospectively. Conclusion The prevalence trend of intestinal parasitic infection was decreased, and maintained in a low level, while food - borne parasitic infection showed a tendency of increase.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
