Method 506 fecal samples collected in Baoan, Nansan and Longgang District were screened for intestinal parasites with Kato Katz technique smear method. Results 16 samples of the 506 (3.16%) were found to have intestinal parasites of 5 species. Clonorchis sinesis (1.19%), roundworm (0.99%), hookworm (0.59%), Trichuris trichiura linnaeu (0.20%), and spinworm (0.20%). Conclusion The prevalence of intestinal parasitic infections tended to be decreased, and maintained at a low level in Baoan District of Shenzhen city.
