Abstract
Objective Evaluate clinical efficiency of TF nickel titanium file in root canal treatment in elder molars.Meth- ods Select 146elder molars, which were divided into experimental group and control group randomly,73 molars in each group.TF nickel titanium file were used in experimental group and stainless steel k-file were used in control group to prepare root canal.Time of root canal preparation, filling effect andpostoperative pain was compared between two groups. Results Average root canal preparation time and incidence rate of postoperative pain in experimental groups was significantly reduced compared with the control group(P0.05).In experimental group,no root canal deviation or step forming was observed and better anatomical shape of root canal was kept. While in the control group,4cases of step forming were observed. Moreover, 93.2%root canals in experimental group are properly filled, significantly higher than that in control group(P0.05).Conclu- sions Use of TF nickel titanium file in preparing root canal of elder molar is time and labor saving with safety and high efficien- cy.Also it could keep better anatomical shape of root canal, significantly decrease incidence rate of postoperative pain, and im- prove filling effect.
