Abstract
Objective To explore the influence of the serum progesterone and HCG in the prognosis of early pregnancy outcome and spontaneous abortion. Methods The clinical data of 120 patients with early pregnancy were retrospectively analyzed, including 46 cases of normal intrauterine pregnancy (group A), 36 cases of ectopic pregnancy (group B) and 38 cases of spontaneous abortion (group C). Serum progesterone and HCG were detected in the three groups and the prognosis value was analyzed. Results The levels of progesterone and HCG was significantly higher in group A than group B (P0.01), which were significantly higher in group B than group C (P0.01). The specificity of progesterone and HCG for spontaneous abortion were 81.6% and 71.1%, and the sensitivity were 60.5% and 76.3%, respectively. The specificity and sensitivity of combined detection of progesterone and HCG were 84.2% and 86.8%, respectively. Conclusion The detection of progesterone and HCG in early pregnancy is helpful to identify intrauterine pregnancy and ectopic pregnancy. Combined detection of progesterone and HCG can improve the detection rate of spontaneous abortion.
