Abstract
OBJECTIVE To analyze the application of serum prealbumin and C-reactive protein in clinical diagnosis of infectious diseases in children.METHODS From Jun 2010 to Jun 2011,the serum prealbumin and C-reactive protein indexes for 46 children with infections(study group) were compared with 50 healthy children undergoing normal physical examination(control group),the variants of serum prealbumin and C-reactive protein were observed.RESULTS The PA was(101.58±12.32) mg/L and CRP was(70.63±10.28) mg/L in the study group;the PA was(160.33 ±22.41) mg/L and CRP was(4.67±0.9) mg/L in the control group;PA value of the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group,CRP value was significantly higher than that of the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P0.05);the PA of 46 children with infections rose significantly,up to(157.82±21.53) mg/L;CRP significantly decreased to(4.88±1.27) mg/L.The differences in PA and CRP before and after treatment were statistically significant(P0.05).CONCLUSION There is high sensitivity for serum pre-albumin and C-reactive protein in clinical diagnosis of infectious diseases in the children, which is conducive to the diagnosis of infectious diseases in the early stage;dynamic monitoring has a certain value in the assessment of the infections and treatment effect.
