Abstract

Objective To probe the value of the examination of serum acute phase reactants-CRP and PA in distinguishing pathogen of respiratory infection of children.Method The contents of CRP and PA in 40 infected children and 20 check-up children were examined with Rate Nephelometry.Results(1) By comparing the bacterial infection group with the control,CRP was 72.60±18.22mg/L and 5.31±1.86mg/L,respectively,and the PA was 109.67±41.25mg/L and 258.14±62.38/mg/L,respectively.The differences were statistically significant(P0.05).(2) By comparing the virus infection group with the control,CRP level was 5.27±1.54mg/L and 5.31±1.86mg/L,respectively,and the PA was 241.23±53.76/mg/L and 258.14±62.38/mg/L,respectively.The differences were no statistically significant(P0.05).Conclusion In children's acute respiratory infection, the examination of serum CRP and PA is helpful to make differential diagnosis at early stage.
