Preparation of vinyl acetate/acrylic emulsion

Abstract
The synthetic method of polyvinyl acetate (PVAc) emulsion modified by acrylate is introduced in this paper. A new kind of vinyl acetate/acrylate emulsion is prepared by seed emulsion polymerization, the properties of the emulsion are examined. The results indicate that there is a great improvement in properties, especially in water-and cold-resistance. And some factors which affect the polymerization are discussed.
