Abstract
A high performance vinyl acetate-butyl acrylate copolymer emulsion is prepared in a process of seed emulsion polymerization. The factors that influence the properties of product are described, such as selection of monomers, polymerization temperature, emulsifier ratio and usage, as well as initiator, etc. Thus an optimized formulation and polymerization process are finalized. The testing results indicates good properties of emulsion.
