Abstract

The paper manifests anthropological characteristics of Li Anzhai's study on Li(namely,deconsecration of Li,differentiation of Li,Dichotomy of Worldlinessand Holinessas well asFaithandReligion)through a commentative review of his social scientific research onLiin Chinese tradition. According to Li's academic career and other scholars' standpoints,the paper indicates that the idea thatLirefers to carrying through thecultureof anthropology,and a further interpretation is put forward,that is,Liis order and structure to consolidate social structure.
