Abstract

Objective To investigate the quality of out-patient prescriptions in one hospital.Methods 2 000 out-patient prescriptions were randomly collected from Nov.2009 to Jun.2011.Retrospective quantitative analysis and evaluation of them was carried out.Results The average of varieties in every prescription is 2.54.The percentage of prescription with antimicrobial agents was 49.12%.The percentage of the injection use was 29.25%.The percentage which State's basic drugs were used accounted for medicines in prescriptions was 33.09%.The percentage of the generic names of pharmaceuticals used in prescription was 86.77%.The proportion of irrational prescriptions was 48.55% and the non-standard prescriptions accounted for 44.95%,the prescriptions of improper administration of drug accounted for 2.55% and the proportion of supernormal prescriptions was 1.65%.Conclusion The quality of out-patient prescriptions in the hospital remains to rise.
