Abstract

Objective To explore the surgical methods, operation points and application of axillary incision in the thoracic surgery. Methods 50 patients who were admited to our hospital from January 2007 to August 2010 were treated with axillary incision thoracic surgery. The treatment of axillary incision thoracotomy was summarized. Results 50 patients were operated on axillary incision thoracic surgery with no deaths, less blood loss, less postoperative wound infection, shorter operative time, less postoperative pain, and quick recovery. All the patients were cured with no other complications. The postoperative hospital stay was 7~12d,and the average time was(9.2±1.5)d.Conclusion Axillary incision has the advantages of incision minimally invasive, good hiding, slight pain, and easy recovery, which can partial replace traditional approach of thoracic surgery and was worth practice in clinical.
