A Clinical Study of Three-dimensional Conformal Radiotherapy with Temozolomide in Treatment of Postoperative Malignant Glinoma

Objective:To study the efficacy and security of three-dimensional conformal radiotherapy concomitant with temozolomide in patients with postoperative malignant glinoma.Methods:Eleven patients with pathologically confirmed malignant glinoma were treated by 3D-CRT after operation with a dose of 50-68Gy and concomitant temozolomide chemotherapy from Mar.2003 to Mar.2006.Results:The overall response rates were 81.8%,including six(54.5%) patients with complete responses,three(27.3%) patients with partial responses,one(9.1%) patients with stable disease and one(9.1%) patients with progressive disease.One,two and three years suvival rates were 63.6%,27.3% and 18.2%,respectively.Conclusions:Three-dimensional conformal radiotherapy concomitant with temozolomide is effective,good tolerance and safety in the treatment of postoperative malignant glinoma.
