Abstract
Objective To compare the clinical efficacy of pantoprazole and omeprazole on treating peptic ulcer complicated with hemorrhage. Methods 45 patients with peptic ulcer complicated with hemorrhage from January 2011 to January 2013 in our hospital were randomly divided into two groups, treatment group(n=27) was given pantoprazole and control group(n=18) was given omeprazole. The hemostatic effect, the incidence of adverse reactions and fasting gastric juice pH changes of the two groups were compared before and after treatment. Results The total effective rate of treatment group was higher than that of control group(92.59% vs.72.22%,P0.05).After treatment, the gastric pH of the two groups were significantly increased, and pH level of treatment group was significantly higher than that of control group(P0.05).The hemorrhage volume of treatment group on 1st,2nd,3rd,4th,5th days were significantly less than those of control group(P0.05).Conclusion The curative effect of pantoprazole treatment for peptic ulcer hemorrhage is better than that of omeprazole with less adverse reactions,it is worthy of clinical use.
