Abstract

A UG-based CAD system for injection moulds and injection molding products was developed after analysis on the secondary development of UG software,and the construction method of UG/Mold Wizard.A management module of mould base and its standard parts library were established and a model database of components was generated.A whole design process of the CAD module of injection moulds was presented with which the automation level of mould design and manufacture shall be improved.
