Abstract

Objective To investigate the diagnostic value of serum IL-1 and IFN-γ in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis. Methods The serum IL-1 and IFN-γ levels in patients with 42 patients with pulmonary tuberculosis and 27 healthy controls were detected by ELISA.Results The levels of IL-1 and IFN-γ in sera from patients with pulmonary tuberculosis were(78.21±27.13) pg/mL and(56.85±20.62) pg/mL,respectively,and these were obviously higher than those in the healthy controls [(8.80±6.94) pg/mL for IL-1,and(29.11±31.52) pg/mL for IFN-γ,P0.05,P0.01].Conclusions Detection of serum IL-1 and IFN-γ levels may be helpful in diagnosing pulmonary tuberculosis.
