Abstract

[Objective]To investigate the value of detection of serum IL-4 and IL-10 in diagnosis of silicosis complicated with pulmonary tuberculosis.[Methods]The levels of serum IL-4 and IL-10 in experimental subjects, which included 20 patients of silicosis complicated with pulmonary tuberculosis,27 patients with silicosis and 17 healthy controls, were detected by ELISA.[Results]The serum IL-4 level in silicosis-tuberculosis group and silicosis group was(45.32±18.83) pg/ml and(38.79±16.71) pg/ml respectively, which was significantly higher than that in the control group[(14.55±8.48) pg/ml,P0.01].The serum IL-10 level in silicosis-tuberculosis group and silicosis group was(37.56±13.78) pg/ml and(32.26±11.63) pg/ml respectively, which was significantly higher than that in the control group [(25.76±9.33) pg/ml,P0.01].[Conclusion]The detection of serum IL-4 and IL-10 may be helpful in the diagnosis of silicosis complicated with pulmonary tuberculosis.
