Abstract

Objective To assess the efficacy and safety of 10-day sequential therapy for eradication of helicobacter pylori(Hp). Methods Eighty patients with Hp-positive were divided into two groups in random.Treatment group,10-day sequential therapy was offered;Control group, triple therapy was given. The course was 10 days for the both groups.14C urea breath test was conducted one month after completion of the therapy. Results The therapeutic efficacy was much better for those in the treatment group than those in the control, the breath test showed negative rate of 95% for treatment group, and 75% for the control, being significant difference between the two groups(χ2=6.27,P0.05). Conclusion For Hp eradication,10-day sequential therapy is more effective than triple therapy.
