Abstract

OBJECTIVE To discuss the features of phacolytic glaucoma and to study the effect of phacoemulsification and intraocular lens implantation in treating phacolytic glaucoma.METHODS Twenty-three patients(23 eyes) in this hospital with phacolytic glaucoma received phacoemulsification and intraocular lens implantation, and visual acuity and intraocular pressure were recorded 6~24 months after surgeries.RESULTS The intraocular pressure of most cases were controlled within normal level, and the visual acuity of patients had improved after operation.CONCLUSIONS Phacoemulsification and intraocular lens implantation was an effective method to treat phacolytic glaucoma.
