Observation about the clinical curative effect of sodium ferulate in treating diabetic peripheral neuropathy

Objective To observe the clinical curative effect of sodium ferulate in treating diabetic peripheral neuropathy.Methods 75 inpatients with diabetic peripheral neuropathy were given conventional treatment,diabetes education,sports and diabetic diet with strict control of blood glucose.At the same time,their original treatment were not changed without other anticoagulants,vasodilators and neurotrophic drugs.The 75 inpatients with diabetic peripheral neuropathy were selected and randomly divided into 2 groups : treatment group(n=45) and control group(n=30).The treatment group were given intravenously 0.3 sodium ferulate per day for 20 days,and the control group were given a daily intramuscular injection of vitamin B1 10mg and vitamin B12 0.5mg for 20 days.At last we had a comparison of the therapeutic effect.Results The symptoms and signs of the treatment group than of the control group were improved significantly different;EMG nerve test showed that the treatment group before and after treatment had significant changes in conduction velocity than the control group improved significantly.Conclusion It is of exact curative to treat diabetic peripheral neuropathy with sodium ferulate.
