Clinical observation of gastrodin injection for diabetic peripheral neuropathy

Objective:To observe the curative effect of gastrodin injection for treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy.Methods:83 cases of diabetic peripheral neuropathy in group A were given gastrodin injection 800~1 000 mg in normal saline 250 ml by intravenous grip once a day in addition to diabetic diet and hypoglycemic drug therapy, while 15 cases of diabetic peripheral neuropathy in group B with diabetic diet and hypoglycemic drug therapy only there was no significant statistical difference in the plasma level of blood glucose between two groups(P0.01).Results:83cases of diabetic peripheral neuropathy in group A,43 cases(51.81%)were significanthy effective,23 cases(27.71%) were effective,and 17 cases(20.48%)were ineffective,the total effective rate was 79.52%.While the symptoms in all 15 cases of diabetic peripheral neuropathy in group B did not improve.Conclusion:Gastrodin injection has good curative effect for the treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy.
