Clinical observation of three dimensional conformal radiotherapy combined with chemotherapy for esophageal cancer

Objective To analyzes the clinical effect of three dimensional conformal radiotherapy( 3D-CRT) combined with concurrent chemotherapy for esophageal cancer.Methods From January2010 to January 2012,62 cases of esophageal cancer patients were choosed randomly,and divided into two groups,the observation group( n = 32) were treated with three dimensional conformal radiotherapy( 3D-CRT) with concurrent chemoradiotherapy treatment; the control group( n = 30) were treated with radiotherapy alone scheme.The recent curative effects,the survival rate and adverse reaction of two groups patients were observed.Results In the observation group,curative effect was 81.2%,higher than that of the control group 63.3%,two groups had significant difference( P 0.05),The observation group,the control group survival rates were 62.5% and 56.7% in 8 mo later,two groups is not statistically significant( P 0.05),16 mo later the survival rates were 46.9% and 30.0%,there were significant differences between the two groups( P 0.05); adverse reaction toradiation esophagitis,nausea vomiting,decreased white blood cells,and the observation group was higher than control group.Conclusion 3D-CRT combined with concurrent chemotherapy for esophageal cancer to improve the efficacy and survival rate of adverse reactions,althoughincreased,but patients can be tolerated.
