Abstract
With the arrival of information age,personal information as one of strategic resources draws much more attention.Compared with the realistic environment,the status of personal information becomes inceasingly significant.Aiming at the blank and inadequacy of China's existing legislation of personal information protection,starting with the definition of personal information under the network environment,this article analyzes its necessity and urgency by using comparative and systematic study.And the double protection mode of separate legislation and self-regulation is proposed.Based on a series of laws on personal information protection, the relevant provisions of criminal law and civil law should be improved;the code of ethics,administrative supervision and self-discipline be made perfect to achieve a dynamic balance between the protection and the use of personal information.
