Tentative Research on Analysis and Countermeasures of Social and Economic Factors of Desertification in Northwest of China

Desertification,restricting social and economical sustainable development,is one of the most serious environmental problems in China.Northwest is the most serious district in China as far as desertification regarding.Desertification can be caused by natural or/and human reasons.In Northwset China,the social and economic influential factors to desertification are land use mode,population,water resources use,economic development situation and industry structure.Then,in accordance with the local conditions,the effect of the factors is researched and analyzed.The counter measurements are proposed to control desertification in the region.
