Abstract
Objective To understand the health service demand in rural area of Anhui province. Methods 3 077 residents were investigated by cluster sampling. Two-week prevalence and chronic disease prevalence was used to evaluate the health service demand. Results The total two-week prevalence of male was 91.13%, while that of female was 98.00%. There was no significant difference between male and female. The chronic disease prevalence increased with age and was influenced by educational background. Conclusions The local government should make efforts to provide enough health service for peasants.
