Abstract

Objectives:To find out the actual state of the demand for health services and its impact factors in rural areas in Hubei province.Methods:1831 residents in rural areas, who resides 54 countries of 9 towns in Hubei's 3 counts, were interviewed at their home with questionnaires about the health services by using stratified sampling method. Results:The two-week prevalence rate of residents was 24.09% and the Prevalence of chronic diseases was 13.33%.The two-week prevalence and chronic diseases prevalence were tested by the Logistic regression, and the result showed that family size, age, occupation were the impact factors of the two-week prevalence, and the age, annual per capita net income became the impact factors of the chronic diseases prevalence. Conclusions:The two-week prevalence rate and the Prevalence of chronic diseases were both higher than the corresponding data of the three times the national health services in rural areas. So the rural health service providers in Hubei Province should provide appropriate health services based on the actual state of the demand for services
