Abstract
objective: To observe the effects of Compound White Grass Decoction on patients with type 2 diabetes of de-ficiency of both qi and yin syndrome.Method: The 116 patients with type 2 diabetes were randomly divided into two groups:treatment group(60 cases) and control group(56 cases). The control group received human insulin with subcutaneous injection0.4~0.6 U/(kg·d),while the treatment group was additional given Compound White Grass Decoction. The effect was observed after 1month.Results: The total effective rate of treatment group was 93.3%,and the control group was 83.9%,compared with each other, the difference was statistically significant(P 0.05).After treatment, the number of symptoms improved, such as thirsty to drink, urinary volume, fatigue and shortness of breath, easy to be hungry,of the treatment group was higher than that of the control group(P 0.05 or P 0.01).The fasting blood-glucose levels,Non fasting blood glucose and glycosylated hemoglobin of the 2 groups were significantly lower than pre-therapy(P0.05).Compared with each other, the fasting bloodglucose levels had no significance(P0.05),while the other index had significance(P0.05).Results: The total effective rate of the treatment group was 94.4%,and the control group was 77.8%,the efficiency of the treatment group was significantly high-er than the control group(P0.05).After treatment, the serum ALT,AST,GGT,HA,LN and C-Ⅳ levels of the 2 groups were significantly lower than pre-therapy(P0.05),the serum ALT,AST,GGT,HA,LN and C-Ⅳ levels of the treatment group were significantly lower than the control group(P0.05),and the nausea, pain, loss of appetite, liver and spleen enlargement and other symptoms scores of the treatment group were significantly lower than the control group(P0.05).
