Clinical Observation on Kangxianling Formula for 110 Cases of Chronic Kidney Disease of StageIII

Abstract
Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of Kangxianling Formula(formula for renal fibrosis)for chronic kidney disease(CKD)of stageⅢ.Methods Totally 247CKD patients were randomized into treatment group and control group,with 129cases and 118cases in each.There were 19shedding cases and 110complete cases in the treatment group.There were 13shedding cases and 105complete cases in the treatment group.Both groups were given basic treatment.The treatment group was given Kangxianling Formula,twice daily.The control group was given 50-100mg losartan in the morning.The treatment course lasted for 16weeks.The symptoms,blood urea nitrogen(BUN),serum creatinine(SCr),glomerular filtration rate(GFR),triglyceride(TG),total cholesterol(TC)and 24-hour urinary protein(24hUP)were detected.The therapeutic effect and side effect were observed.Results Backache,fatigue,poor appetite,edema and squamous dry skin were significantly relieved and the total scores were significantly decreased in the treatment group(P0.05).Backache,fatigue and squamous dry skin were significantly relieved in the control group(P0.05).Comparing with the control group,backache,fatigue,poor appetite and squamous dry skin were significantly relieved and the total scores were significantly decreased in the treatment group(P0.05).The total effective rate of the treatment group and the control group was 77.3%and 51.4%respectively,the treatment group was superior to the control group(P0.05).After treatment,the levels of BUN,SCr,TG,TC and 24hUP were significantly decreased(P0.05),but GFR was significantly increased(P0.05)in the treatment group.There was no significant difference in each index between before and after treatment in the control group(P0.05).After treatment,the levels of BUN,SCr,TG,TC and 24hUP in the treatment group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P0.05),but GFR in the treatment group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P0.05).Conlcusion Kangxianling Formula is effective and safe for CKD of stageⅢ.
