To Improve Students' Autonomous Learning Ability in College English Teaching

Autonomous Learning has been a heated topic for college English teaching research,whereas college English learners' autonomy is restricted to their teachers' teaching models to a certain extent.Investigation showed us that in the course of transferring from the teacher-centred teaching model,which excessively depends on teacher's reference books and College English discs,to the student-centred teaching model,which emphasizes student's autonomous learning,teachers should give them more privileges,such as requiring students to prepare for lessons before class,creating a good environment in class,and practising self-reflection and self-assessment after class,in order that the students may go along a way for autonomous learning in the future.
