On Autonomous Study Ability Training in English Teaching

With the changing of language education idea,the traditional classroom teaching pattern has been challenged.Learner-centered teaching concept and the idea of cultivating student's autonomous learning ability is increasingly pervasive.English,as a required course in college should not only conform to the people-oriented principle,but also stress the students' autonomous learning ability in teaching.This paper deals with the factors influencing the students' autonomous learning ability in college English teaching as well as the principles and strategies of cultivating students' autonomous learning ability.
