Abstract
Objective To establish a method for the determination of clarithromycin capsules dissolution based on charge-transfer reaction with alizarin red. Methods The dissolution test was conducted according to Pharmacopoeia of People′s Republic of China, using phosphate buffer solution as medium, with a stirring speed of 100 r/min.The solution was withdrawn after 45 min.The absorbance of dissolution solutions was measured at 525 nm.Dissolution limit is 75% of the labeled amount. Results Good linear correlation was achieved at the range of 60.4~151.0 μg/ml,(r=0.999 8).The mean recovery was 100.6%,RSD was 0.8%.Conclusions The method is accurate, simple, and suitable to the determination of clarithromycin capsules dissolution.
