Abstract

Data collection is a key step in reverse engineering modelling. The usability of the measured data affects the efficiency and effect of the model construction. With the cantilevered 3D coordinate measuring machine as an example, several techniques of 3D measurement in reverse engineering are introduced and a practical example is presented.
