Clinical Research on Kidney-tonifying Blood-activating and Sputum-Eliminating Therapy for the Treatment of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome(PCOS) with Insulin Resistance(IR)

Objective: To investigate the clinical efficacy on Kidney-tonifying,Blood-activating and sputum-eliminating Therapy for the Treatment of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome with insulin resistance.Methods: In the experiment,38 PCOS patients were randomly allocated into 2 groups.In the Chinese herb group,the author treated 21 patients 3 periods of treatment with the therapy for tonifying kidney,promoting blood and eliminating sputum which was consociated to regulate menstrual cycle.In the Western medicine group,the author treated 17 patients 3 period of treatment with Metformin.The author observed all the change of these patients,such as the change of their catamenia cycles and the change of their gestation.Results: In the Chinese herb group and the gestation efficiency was 61.9%,the total efficiency of the patients was 90.5%;in the Western medicine group the gestation efficiency was 5.9% and the total efficiency of the patients was 58.8%;In the two groups,the T value、INS value、LH value of the serum increased clearly,and the E2 value reduced clearly(P0.05);Through 3 periods of treatment,the ovary became bigger and the ovum increased in the Chinese herb group(P0.05),but in the western medicine group these changes were not observable(P0.05).Conclusions: The decoction of tonifying kidney,promoting blood and eliminating sputum has a good effect in treating PCOS,and its will have a good prospect.
