Clinical Analysis of Treating Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome by Combined Treatment of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine in 60 Patients

Objective To analyze the clinical therapeutic effect of polycystic ovarian syndrome(PCOS) by combined treatment of traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine.Methods From June 2007 to November 2011,60 patients with PCOS were selected and divided randomly into 2 groups.In the control group,30 patients were treated with clomiphene and choriogonadotropin;in treatment group,30 patients were treated with traditional Chinese medicine on the basis of the control group's therapy.The levels of FSH,LH,PRL,E2 and T in serum were detected before and after treatment of two months.Follow-up of 6 months,Therapeutic efficacy of the 2 groups were contrasted,pregnancy was observed.Results The total effective rate and pregnancy rate in treatment group(90.00%,53.33%) was significantly higher than those in control group(73.33%,30.00%,P0.01).The levels of FSH,LH,PRL,E2 and T in serum after treatment were decreased in comparison with those before treatment in two groups(P0.05).The decrease of the levels of FSH,LH,PRL and T in serum in treatment group was superior to that in control group(P0.05).Conclusion Treating polycystic ovarian syndrome by combined treatment of traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine is a good and effective method compare to treating only with Western medicine.It is a successful and worthy method that should be extended.
