Abstract
Objective To observe the effects of glucocorticoid on the patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD) in acute exacerbation phase(AECOPD).Methods Sixty patients with AECOPD are randomly classified into 30 cases of therapeutic group and 30 cases of control group. The two groups were both given anti-infection,oxygen and aminophyllin therapy and prednisone tablet were added in the group with the dose of 0.5 mg/(kg·d) in a week and 0.25 mg/(kg·d) in the second week. The therapeutic symptoms,PEF,FEV_1 and artery blood gas in both groups were observed. Results Improvements of clinical symptoms in therapeutic group were detected better than those in control group in the first week.Improvements of PEF,FEV_1 and PaCO_2 in the fourth day in therapeutic group were detected, which was earlier than those in control group. But all indexes had no statistical difference after the two weeks in both groups. Conclusion Glucocorticoid has evident effects on the treatment of the patients with AECOPD and improvement of pulmonary function.
