Abstract
In this paper, the gear transmission system is simulated by dynamic simulation software. The dynamic response of the gearbox is calculated by means of the finite element method. The structure noise of the gearbox is predicted by using boundary element method with the obtained dynamic response as the boundary condition.Meanwhile, the sound intensity of the structure noise of the gearbox is tested and compared with the predicted result. The results indicate that this method can accurately predict the radiation noise characteristics of the gearbox. This work provides a reliable basis for gearbox noise control and structural optimization.
